Dan Ames, who leads the HydroDesktop development team at BYU, recently delivered a HydroDesktop Progress Report on a CUAHSI Community Informatics Teleconference. Dr. Ames highlighted the new features in the current version of HydroDesktop as well as discussed the development strategy that has been employed.

The WDC provides data services to the hydrologic science community and other critical-zone science communities that require access to various sources of water data to perform research on fundamental challenges in hydrology and Earth System science. Founded in 2001, the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc. (CUAHSI) is a 501(c)3 research organization representing more than 120 U.S. universities and international water science-related organizations.
